Who we are

Evelyn Ottley Inspires, LLC was founded in 2020 by Chani Louise; an actress, author, screenwriter, educator and poet. Chani uses words for expression as it was the tool that saved her life in high school. Through the creation of Evelyn Ottley Inspires, LLC, she is hoping to bring the same comfort and inspiration to someone else that she has experienced through writing over the course of her life.

We began as a safe escape through stories told; we aspire to create a new reality by sharing them through our current engagement with writing books and films. Our future plans include offering courses such as Dramatic Writing. While we intend to grow as a business, our main goal will always remain true to sharing the stories of underrepresented communities using those same unheard voices.

Evelyn Ottley Inspires, LLC is founded and run by a Black Woman who believes in the importance and power of telling stories in both spoken and written word. We are a safe haven for the stories of black women; a dream on the journey of becoming a reality.

Evelyn Ottley Inspires, LLC is dedicated to capturing stories that focus on the black experience and identity. Our projects are delivered with imagination, innovation, and ingenuity. We pride ourselves on chronicling the voices of the overlooked and projecting the black voice beyond the monolith we are placed in.
